On my vaca to Myrtle Beach, I found a gull with a broken wing. I picked it up and carried it around until I found someone that could get it to an animal sanctuary or rehab. I made sure that the wing was tucked up against its side so that it wouldn't hurt itself any more. It was lying on the beach, just flapping around and the tide was starting to take it out. I couldn't do nothing for it. If I didn't it would have bothered me to this day. I
For sure, yes. For one thing, I kept some sheep for a while. It seemed like tending to some sheep would be more interesting than riding in circles on a lawn tractor. And it was, but no less work. And sheep get sick easily.. not to mention the fact that they had babies. Holding a baby lamb in your arms is wonderful.
Yes plenty of time is my 39 years living last time was with my dog busy he was ran over his pelvic was fracture had to pick him up take him to the vet and make the choice putting him down. In my life I had to pick quality of life over quantity of life
yes found a red fox and he broke his leg, was about dead , we took him home and fixed him up, mended his leg, thank goodness he got ok so we let him go, but he stayed around, more of a pet then something wild.
Yes. I saw a snapping turtle on the road. He was going to be hit by traffic. I stopped the car and got it to the swamp on the side of the road. I just about lost a finger :)
I've never come across an injured animal. I have taken in animals that have been abused in other ways and taught them to trust again.
