I like books that make you laugh and cry and paint a picture of realistic situations that are relate-able to the averabe person. The situation can be a struggle with relationships, work, health, time, or family.
I don't read many books. I like magazines with various subject material....including people, recipes or ""how to"" topics. Books I've enjoyed include some biographies, self improvement books, meditation.
Currently reading books on the Blessed Mother and prayer... but ordinarily, Gone with the Wind and the classics were all my favorite books in school. I loved Dune, which I read later in college.
The Stand by Stephen King also a book called Lucifers Hammer I forget who wrote it but it is great Sci-fi. I just finished the 'Jack Reacher' series by Lee Child, I really enjoyed those!
Madame Bovary, The Osterman Weekend, Of Mice & Men, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Fahrenheit 451, The Alchemist, The Help, Ender's Game, The Handmaid's Tale, and soooooo many more.
LOTR, The Sot Weed Factor, The Goldfinch, Mary Renault's mythology stories, One Hundred Years of Solitude, My Uncle Oswald....way to many to mention...I am an avid reader

Definetely, not happy ending books. I love ingenious authors who can experiment with languages and human emotions. Anyway, what I read the most is non-fiction.

I love to read. That's how I keep my sanity. My new favorite book is Relentless by Karen Lynch. Love the whole series actually.
I like historical fiction, and action stories. For example, I love Tom Clancy's series involving the character Jack Ryan.
The series by Diana Gabaldon, really about any book is good. Not into romance novels, but otherwise, I'm an avid reader.
