I think we all lie, either to prevent hurting someone's feelings, to protect us from revealing our true selves, or when we fear the truth will get us into trouble. Personally, I am trying very hard not to lie at all. However, telling the truth all the times is not easy.
Like most people I lie to save others feelings and to save face. I’m trying to change this trait and instead just try to use kind words when telling others the truth, even when they don’t want to hear it.
Should someone die a painful death, it is ok to tell the loved ones that the death was painless. Why make their suffering more painful?
